Busy WeekSorry folks for not updating earlier. Ive been in KL for the past 10 days. Busy busy busy.. Punye la penat, sampai demam. Hhaha..Anyways, I'll tell you what happened in detail later. Here are a few pics for ur enjoyment. 1. Our Best Fren's Wedding
2. Our Graduation!
Long Lost ClassMateI have so many things to write about, but somehow this comes to mind. Hahha.. maybe bcoz it happened just a few hours ago. Kakput was telling me about how she hasnt found a decent job yet, and how the others oredi found theirs. That made me remember of this email Uswah forwarded to the Alumni SMIH mailing list about Job Vacancies. So I opened it up again just to make sure, and pasted the details to KakPut.I then suggested that we both send out CVs to the given email address just to try our luck. Mane la tahu dpt keje kat situ. They were looking for graphic designers, animators, web developers and stuff. Right in our area of study *wink*. I also invited Ju to send her resume too. So I sent mine right away. I got a reply just a few seconds after, saying that the company will contact me for an interview in the near future. Oh okey.. that was fast! When I told KakPut and Ju, they couldnt wait to send theirs! Hahahhaa.. Anyways, a few minutes after that, I got another email from the same person. Before I opened the msg, I kinda wondered what it would be about. Here's what it said.
Hahahhahahaha.. what a small world!! It turned out to be Fauzan, an ex classmate of mine during primary school! Hahahhahahaha.. That was a shock. I do remember having a classmate named Fauzan. A small, thin and quiet boy who was always picked on bcoz of his size. Hehhe.. I didnt really remember the year he left the school. After chatting with him online, I found out that he left during standard 5. Wah.. 13 years ago mann.. thats a whole lot of time to change. Id call him a very straight forward person. Just like Khubayb (opps, I mentioned ur name =P) Hahahha.. Anyways, he told me that every guy had a crush on me back then, including him! Hahaha YaAllah, sabar je laa. Thats a good way to open a conversation. Seriously. Hahhaa.. Makes u ask questions which leads to answers and more questions. Great tactic, for anyone interested to try. Hhahaha. Anyways, I also found out that hes been in UK all this while, from 1996 to 2007. Wau, thats a long time. I love his English! Seriously! There are only a handful of guy frens I know who speak fluent English. But having been in UK for the past 12 years, Im not surprised! Hahahhaha.. Wah, bestnye dpt jumpa old frens balik. Even though it would be more towards former classmates than frens. Hahaha.. Youd understand if u know how my school was like *wink* But whatever pun, he wants me to come for an interview and see my portfolio. And he seriously wants me to join the team. I'm going to find out more details about this job offer tomorrow. Im going to find my primary school pics la. Then post them here. Hahahhahahaaha.. I also have to story mory about an interview I had last week, and my meeting with a UTM lecturer concerning my Masters. Hehe.. tomorrow la I update more okey. Till then, goodnite everyone. Enthusiasm ContinuedAlang alang tgh semangat tu, I went and did a mailing group for my batch at Uni. Hehhehehe.. See what I spend my time on? Hehhee.. Ala, bile lagi, lepas ni kene start keje pulak.
The whole batch of noisy and crazy people (except me.. hehe..) A "Plastic" PicnicTime really flies by without you really noticing it. Its been more than 2 months since Ive met up with my friends. Ive only been in contact via YM, sms and phone. But mostly YM/Skype.They always ask me when ill be coming down to KL, when we could all meet up again. Since all the other Plastics (we call ourselves ThePlusTicks =P) are in KL, they always have time to go see a movie together, go bowling, etc etc. They can just call up the whole gang and have fun catching up at a mamak stall. So when the 1st opportunity for me to go to KL came up, I took it with a sigh of relief. Finally! During the CNY holidays, my friends planned up a picnic at Sg Congkak just for me.. Well, they planned it since I was coming down that is.. :P. It was really fun alright. 7 of the 12 Plastics came, including KakHas's mum and 2 nephews. The water was just wonderful. Cold but really nice on a hot sunny day. Our dipping spot was right under a canopy of trees so it was shady. The water became cooler when the breeze kicked in. Hehehe.. Ade yang menggigil kesejukkan! We stayed in the water for God knows how long. Most of the time we just sat in a circle and talked. We even had a company meeting in the water! Hehhe.. Oh ye, we're all going to open up a company together ;) *wink We had spaghetti bolognese (kak has masak), with tuna egg sandwiches, nuggets, fried chicken, mee goreng and hot maggi (yum yum.. Pia yang bawak small gas stove). After bathing for more than 5 hours, it was time to part ways. Well, I had to get back to Melaka coz my family were going to go back to JB that very day. So being really PhotoCrazy, my journey back to Melaka was stalled by a "photoshoot" right before saying goodbye. Biase la tu.. Dah nama pun The Plastics. Hehehe.. The latest gossip I found out: 1) KakDiela's wedding will be on the 8/8/08 (cool giler number ni. Sangat ong!) 2) Su and Nyet are getting engaged in August. Not to each other ok! Hehehe.. Im hoping to have future meet ups with them any chance I get. Oh ye.. Sg Congkak is a very beautiful place. I recommend it for family outings! I miss my friends =(This is a studio shoot of my friends and I. From the top: Me, Ju, KakDiela Bottom: KakPut n KakHas The ones absent from the picture: The rest of ThePlastics :D A Day OutMy friends and I have been planning to go out about a week ago. Awla was home for a week of resting so she invited me and Uswah for a day out. Since I'm working, the only time I'd be free is at night or weekends. Since I always use my weekends (especially Saturdays) for resting, Im usually very reluctant to go out. Sundays are kinda full for me too.As a result, I asked for a 2 hour excuse from my supervisor. Every friday my lunch break is from 1215 to 245. So 2 hours is just right for me to have the rest of the day doing whatever I please. I wouldnt have to come back to the office after lunch! Heheehe.. So we headed off to Jusco Tebrau. Ive never been here before --mainly bcoz during studying in KL, I never had time to go jalan2 here when I come home for the weekend. Plus, its kinda far from home. The last reunion was with Aisyah Zamani, and we only spent 2 hours together. There was so many things to talk about with so little time. But with Awla, we spent more than 6 hours! Hehehe.. Including the fact that we toured the entire shopping complex. I never thought window shopping with Uswah n Awla would be so much fun! Hehhe.. Girl will always be girls! We spent have the time gossiping. Hehhe.. Cant wait for our reunion. I didnt take any pictures.. Terlupa! Padahal the camera was in my handbag, sbr je laaa.. Form 5 IltizamYup, thats the name of my class during Form 5. When Im with my friends from Uni, when we get into discussions about our high school days, they tell me they were in 5 Pintar or 5 Orkid or 5 B or C. It was all the same for public schools. Since I didnt go to a public school, my class names were totally different. I went to a private Islamic School, so our class names were based on sifat-sifat mahmudah which were in Arabic. When my Uni friends asked me which class I was in, I told them 5 Iltizam --and they laughed their heads off. Hahhaha.. My friends in Uni ni semua mmg sengal2, semua gila2 so it wasnt offensive. Diorg tu memang. Suka gelakkan org. Having met up with a couple of former classmates during high school, memories started to come back. Thus explains the image below. Image of my Class during Form 5
As you can see, this is the layout of my class. Realise that our class was just beside the Teachers' Room? Hahahaha which of course meant that the teachers would always be on time. Such a dummer. Hehe.. Our class was also located at the end of the block, which as you can see had a corner. Us girls were witness to many 'accidents' at this corner, where people kept bumping into each other. It was funny to see when the person from our view walked really fast and then suddenly got the shock of their lives when bertembung with the other person from the other side. Thus leads to shocking and rather loud phrases like "YaAllah!" or "Makk!". There were also people who melatah "Opochot!" Hahahhahaha.. To us, it was free entertainment. Hehe.. Anyway, my class, the Science Stream class, consisted of 15 girls and 10 boys. All the girls had posts - in our school it meant that we'd be wearing yellow head scarfs compared to the normal white ones normal students wore. At the boys side, I think there were only 4 who wore yellow shirts. I dont remember exactly. Well, I think the last time I went back to school for a visit was last year. And its sad to say that the building our class used to be had become part of the Primary School. Which of course meant that "my school" doesnt exist anymore. Sedih sedih =( School days did have its many memories. It'll be a lifetime to tell all of them. Where we all ended upOk, so all my school friends have gone their own way. There are a few whom Ive never contacted since we finished school! Hehe.. Anyway, here's what I know about them.. I'm listing them based on our sitting position in school.. :PFront row Anisah (Anis) - Has graduated and is currently in Shah Alam. I dont know what she's doing at the moment, maybe looking for a job or oledi has one. Awla - She's doing Medic at UIA Kuantan. Will be Dr Awla in a few years Ummu - has also graduated and currently working (in JB I think). She's oledi engaged but Im not sure when shes getting married. Second row Uswah - has finished her studies, waiting for her convo this year. Is currently in JB and has just accepted a job offer being a tutor in UTM Semarak. Also she planning to get married :P Huda - Uswah said she's in KL still studying. Dont know much about her. Aisyah Zamani - She's now a lecturer at UNITI, Port Dickson. But she said she wants to find a job as a tutor somewhere else. Hehehe.. She said that just after 4 days of work! Haha.. Third Row Aina - has finished her studies and is now in JB. I dont know whats her latest update. Ruqayyah - I dont know anything about her either. Aishah Mohd Nor - She's currently in UIA taking her Masters in Law. Forth Row Me - Well you know all about me rite? :P Naeemah (Ema) - Is in her final semester of her Masters. Pergh! Salute la ngan ema ni. Fastest among all of us. Farhanin (Anyn) - I havent been in touch with her for quite some time so Im not sure. I got information from Uswah saying she's furthering her law in Syariah pulak. Last Row Nadirah - I have no idea where she is right now, but I heard that she's engaged =) Azira - I dont know where Azira is either. Kene contact balik ni! Syahadah - If Im not mistaken, shes with Awla at UIA Kuantan too. Thats the whole clan I guess. I'm going to scan a picture from our school days and post it up later. I wonder who get married first. Hehhee.. I Never KnewSince coming back to stay in JB for the duration of my practical, Ive always wondered what my school friends are up to. Ive heard stories like "this person dah balik malaysia for good" or "this person dah keje" and even "this person sambung masters". There were times when I had wanted to pick up the phone and call, but never had the courage coz I didnt know what we'd talk about. I was also afraid of people judging me when they meet me. Since there are those who I havent seen for 5-6 years, there had to be difference in appearance and the way we bring ourselves.People from my Uni would be surprised if I said that I was a nobody during school. Other than being famous because I had a very successful big sister who was the best in everything and having a mother who was known for being a strict discipline teacher, I was no one. Ok, thats an understatement. I was known for being one of the the top girls in the school. In HEIGHT. Hehehheehe.. Other than that, I wasnt a person who stood out in academics or co-curiculum. I was the average student. Among the girls in the Science Stream, I was the one who got the lowest for my PMR. Majority of my classmates got 7-9A's. I only got 5. All of us had our posts, either as a prefect or a PRS (Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya). The Ketua Pengawas for our year was also a GIRL from my class. So you can imagine how inferior I felt when around them. They were among the best students in the school. Its never easy to always be in the shadow of people. So having had one of them criticize me a few years ago, implying that I have changed into a bad person (although I have no idea where she got such a notion since she hasnt seen me in years!) I kinda lost contact with everyone. I was afraid that many of them would be just like her. Meaning that they might have the same way of thinking and so on coz they all come from the same Uni. I didnt want to allow any of them influence the person I have become. When I went to Yeop's Wedding the other day, I bumped into Aishah Mohd Nor. The last time I saw her and borak2 was when we accidently took the same bus to KL --which was I dont remember how long ago. We only had a few minutes to catch up since my family wanted to go home. After talking to her for a while, it finally made me realise how much I miss my friends from school. Which of course encouraged me to contact my friends back more. So when I found out Uswah was also in JB, waiting for a job offer, I straight away contacted her to plan a get together with anyone who was in JB. We finally made it happen last saturday. Although there were only 3 of us, it was so fun! Hhehehe.. Uswah, Aisyah Z and moi met up for drinks which lasted for more than 3 hours! It was so fun to meet up again after so long. I havent seen Aisyah for more than 5 years! We all met up at Ramuan Rahsia and talked about everything under the sun. It was so fun to laugh again with them. Aisyah, Uswah and Moi
After sitting down gossiping for the whole 3 hours, I finally found out a few things I never knew before: 1) I'm not the only one who has trouble with this particular individual who once criticised me. As a matter of fact, she's doing the same thing with everyone else. Constantly comparing and wanting to be the better person, she keeps asking for other ppls CGPA's, posts and what not. I pity this person bcoz as it seems, not many have kept in touch with her due to this annoying behaviour of hers. I thought I was the only one. Looks like I was wrong. 2) I always thought the rest of my classmates were like this individual. After 3 hours spending time with them, I found myself having fun. I didnt feel inferior, I didnt feel like I had to pretend anything. I was able to be my own self. 3) My friends are as impressed with my accomplishments as much as I am impressed with them. I cant wait till we all have another get together, but this time with the whole clan. Mesti best =) This friday Uswah n I are going to meet up with Awla pulak. Cant wait! It's Party Time - The Making..Here are some pictures I just got from my friends. The making of the poster. Hehehe.. Enjoy! My friends are just so sweet and thoughtful ;)Pictures and editting, compliments from Eila Roziela. Thanks eila! Love ya!
