Moving HouseAfter a couple of attempts to regain my faith in efx, its finally over. I cant take the long distortion in connection and server problems anymore. Dah fed up. It always happens when I have so much to tell or when something important is happening in my life.Thats it, Im finally moving and this blog is just gonna be my 2nd blog from now on. Updates will be present only when I have the mood for it. So for those who have been faithful, thank you so much, and please contact me for my new url. Im not going to publicize it. Lagipun, if u contact me personally, Ill be able to know who reads my blog. Sincerely, Myra My Graduation
Ive been putting off writing about my graduation for about 2 weeks now. The truth is, I didnt have any proper pictures to show coz they were all with my frens. Hehhe.. As you can see, I got a few oredi, but Im still waiting for the rest. I heard that there's a whole DVD! Hehehhe.. I wont be able to post the formal pictures from the Uni, coz they havent arrived yet. Ill post them up when I get them ;) My graduation day was on the 16th of August, at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. I came to KL from the previous week coz one of my best fren's got married. Ill write a post about her wedding later. We had the rehearsals one day before. Everyone was already starting to get excited just seeing the hall where our ceremony would be held! Hahha.. It was huge and so cool! The planetary hall was as spendid as seen on TV. Right after the rehearsal, my frens and I went for lunch and came back for our photography session. Hahha.. Kitorg ni semua gile gambar, so you can just imagine how many pictures we took. The weather was extremely hot that week, and our photo shoot took place outdoors starting at 3pm. Damn it was hot. I ended up with a headache and a fever. Haha.. But we had fun. I arrived at nenek's house at around 8pm that day bcoz of the terrible traffic jam. Hahha.. Mak and Ayah arrived about an hour later from JB. Im not going to go into all the details of what happened, coz I dont feel like expressing the emotions I left during this course of time. Its too complicated =P Hehe.. The next morning, nenek woke me up at 5.30 am! Haha.. I set my clock at 6 am, so I was deprived of half an hour's sleep.. adoii.. hehe. My parents and I were going by separate cars coz I didnt want them to wait for me afterwards when I was busy with my frens. So I started out from the house at 6.30a.m. followed by my parents a few minutes later. Mak and Ayah insisted we go out early since PICC was kinda far. I went out and fetched Kak Ira from Sentul and drove fast coz I didnt want to be late. Kak Ira had to do her make up in the car! Hehe.. We arrived at around 7.25 a.m. We went to register on the 1st floor, coz all the parents and family members of award recipients had to be seated at the front. When my parents were seated, I straight away went to the 2nd floor to join my frens for the "perarakan masuk graduan". We did each other's robes and hat. Hahaha.. it was so funny! Everyone was starting to get nervous. During the parade of graduates, I was the third person from my course to enter coz we were lined up in alphabetical order. So we came into the hall and sat at our respectable places. The ceremony started, then came the scroll giving session. When my course came up, one by one we went up onto the stage. You cannot believe how nervous I was. There were so many protocols to follow when taking the scroll from our chancellor. Since he was also the crown prince of Pahang, we were required to bow and say "Junjung Kasih Tuanku" (which is a royal greeting for saying thank you). BUT, being so nervous all of a sudden, when I arrived in front of him, I went and said "Terima Kasih" instead! Hahahhaahhaha.. Sabar je la. So bile dah tersilap tu, ape lagi.. Cepat2 la nak turun pentas. Hahaha.. Its a good thing I was going to go up for a second time later. After all the graduates in the first session was finished, came the Special Awards Session. Right after I went up the stage to get my scroll, I was then ushered to a special seat at the front row with all the other award recipients. When the time came for us to receive our awards, I found out that I was going to be the first recipient. Hahahha.. Again, I became as nervous as hell. Hahha.. So as I awaited for my name to be called out, I calmed myself and made myself smile as wide as I can to hide the butterflies in my stomach. As my name was called, I walked on the stage with a huge smile. Everyone applauded, my whole batch shouted very loudly, my friends and acquaintances from other campuses were also cheering for me. That moment was just.. unforgetable. Im so glad I have so many friends and so many people supporting me. This award I received is not really for me. But for all who have helped me in my quest towards my goal. This award is for my beloved parents who have always supported and believed in me. Its for my lecturers who have been so kind to share their knowledge with me. It is for my friends who have been endlessly encouraging me. Without them, I wouldnt have become who I am today. Thank you so much =)
This is the award they gave me. I received a certificate, a plaque (as seen in the picture) and a check for RM1,000 (which I oredi put into my Tabung Haji account =P) Hehhe.. If you notice the small pictures above, you'll see that you cant see my face. Hehehe.. these pictures are courtesy of Shahril who brought along his telephoto lens and took those pictures from his seat. Since his seat was somewhere at the right side of the hall, taking a picture of my face was totally out of the question. Hahahha.. Mane nmpk! I cant wait for my pics from Uni. I hope they turn out okey. I came down from the stage still with a smile on my face. There's a video of me receiving the award. Ayah and mak took them. Ill post them later ok. After the ceremony finished, all the award recipients were ushered to the press conference room where there was a photography shoot of us with the chancellor and 2 vice chancellors. The crown prince came and talked to us, congratulating us individually. It was an honour. After the photography shoot, all the award recipients were then ushered to a luncheon with all the VVIPs. Mak and Ayah were already at our table. This luncheon consisted of all the VVIPs, University guests, the university's BOD, the university's higher management, parents of award recipients, and of course, the award recipients themselves. It was great! Just as I sat down, suddenly one of the committee came to me saying that a few reporters wanted to interview me. So I was brought back to the conference room and interviewed by two reporters; one from Kosmo, the other from Metro. They interviewed only 3 people, me, Zahidah (the chancellor award recipient. yes, it was a girl! GIRL POWER!! Hehhe..) and a boy who I dont remember his name. Im not sure if my interview came out in these two newspapers, coz tak sempat nak beli.. hehhe =P Tapi takpe la. The experience pun dah cukup best =) Only after the prince left, were we all allowed to adjurn. Haha.. It was a good thing the food was delicious. 1st class all the way. Mak and Ayah certainly ate their share. Hehe.. Afterwards, I intorduced Mak and Ayah to Prof. Abu, one of the vice presidents of the university. Since Ive always been telling my parents about him, what he has done for me and his endless encouragement for my success, I wanted my parents to meet him. He then said this "Amirah, I want you to work for UNIKL. You should come and sambung ur masters with us. We have a "programme tindikan" where we send you to study overseas." I was touched! Waahh.. bestnye prof ni. Suka sangat die. So I told him that I oredi called unikl about this, but I havent gotten a response yet. So he went and straight away called our Dean. Hahahhahahahha.. Terus dean tu suruh I email die about my interest. Dah bos suruh, kene la buat kan =P Hehehhehe.. Afterwards, we all went down to the concourse and my parents went home. I stayed on with my friends for another endless photoshoot. Hahahhahaha.. It was great fun compared to my diploma graduation (My friends had all gone home when I came out of the luncheon hall, so tak dpt amik gambar). We all then went to eat Sate Kajang Hj Samuri and I arrived home at about 5 o'clock.
Fiuh, what a day. That night, nenek had a kenduri doa selamat (arghh! no rest!) so again I was deprived of needed sleep. The next day, we had a kenduri from Ayah's side of the family in Subang, one of my friends had a kenduri for her engagement, we had to go back to PICC to take the studio picture (by the uni) and we had to go back to JB, all in the same day! ARGHHH!! You cannot imagine how tired I was. But I skipped my friends engagement kenduri coz we had to go to Melaka to drop off my grandma. We arrived back in JB at about 8.30pm. Fiuh *wipe forehead* Later, I got a headache, a sore throat and a tempreture. Ape taknye, one whole week of extreme hot weather and exhaustion. But it was all worth it *wink* I'll upload other pictures from this day later okey =) And the Award Goes to..Guess what..?I received a letter from my uni yesterday. I got an award! Yay! Alhamdulillah. Looks like were going to have a luncheon with the Chancellor and University Council. Again. During my diploma, I got 2 awards -- The Council and Presidents Award. Now Im just getting one, kinda the same as last time -- The Presidents Award--, just short of one =P Hehhe.. The Presidents Award is given to the best student from each campus. Alhamdulillah for that. All those hours of hard work finally paid off. To tell you the absolute truth, I was kinda aiming for the highest award, the Chancellor Award. But its okey. Im grateful nonetheless. At least I got one, right? Hehe.. (it must have been the protesting Ive been doing towards my uni. Not to mention the bad interview the other day *roll-eyes*). This might be my last award. It gets harder each time. Masters and PhD is gonna be tougher, so Im not exactly aiming for such awards anymore. Alhamdulillah again. Thank You Allah. A Stepping StoneLast week, I went to go meet a former lecturer of mine concerning my masters. This lecturer of mine was a part time lecturer at my uni, but he's actually a full time lecturer at UTM. He taught me Virtual Environment, and I got an A for his subject *huge grin*.Anyway, during his lectures, he used to constantly ask the whole class about anyone interested to further their studies. He kept saying that he needed students to do research for him with all costs paid. God knows how interested I was at that time. The was also this one incident, during a pop quiz, where he came to me and asked me my pointer. Hmm.. that made questions pop up in my head, but I kept quiet. After a while, I found out that he was trying to get me to do my masters with him. So after my practical placement, I contacted him -- asking of course, the details of this masters he was offering, and also the interest of my joining his department by becoming a tutor. He was glad that I contacted him and said that he'd save a spot for me. I requested to start in July, and he said ok. After that, I was off to Australia for 3 months. Last week, I contacted him back. And he asked me to come to his office to discuss this situation. During that time, I found out that he had oredi given my spot to someone else. He tried to contact me and find me during those 3 months, but to no avail. Hmmmm.. well, its okey. Bukan rezeki la tu. Anyhow, he told me to submit my tutor application after I received my degree certificate. I left my CV with him and told him to contact me if he had any other projects in the future. And I went home.
A few minutes after that, he called me. He said that he went to see the head of his department with my CV, and told me that I should also apply doing masters by research at UTM. He told me that he has oredi reserved a topic for my masters. He wants me to create a Game Engine.
Fiuh, thats gonna be really tough! Arghhhh! Hahahhaha.. Game Engine huh? Oh wow. Im seriously in need of reading materials. I also have to start learning DirectX, coz this is gonna involve a lot of programming. Im both excited and frightened at the same time! Hahahhaa.. But it was a huge boost to my self confidence when he told me that his department really wants me in their team =). I hope Ill be able to meet their standards. Wish me luck people!! Arghhhhhh!! Class of 2008![]() Yup, its true. Im finally graduating. After 6 long years of studying (actually 3 years if u minus the diploma =P), its finally coming to this day. Fiuh *wipe forehead*. Its been a fruitful 3 years. Thats for sure. I cannot believe its finally over. Although I agree when ppl say that studying years are the best years of ones life, I still wanna start my career sometime. Lagipun, I just couldnt stand my uni anymore. The first 2 years was great, but I was practically dragging my feet on my final year. Couldn't wait to get out of the place.
We have this love and hate relationship, my uni and I. I was given every opportunity to excel here. I gained my self- confidence, my reputation, a great deal of knowledge, a whole bunch of wonderful friends and colleagues. But I must say that Im starting to hate my Uni, more specifically the administration, for reasons I wont mention. Yet. I love my uni for allowing me the chance to prove myself. To become the person I am today. I love my lecturers. But I hate the management and how they treat us. Ok ok, Im not going to go into that. Anyways, my graduation is next month. On the 16th and 17th, at PICC. I cannot wait to meet up with my frens again =) Talking about Graduation, I received a call about 2 weeks ago from my uni, telling me that I was nominated as a candidate of a special award. They wanted me to come down to KL for an interview. You cannot start to imagine my excitement, as well as how nervous I was! Hahahha.. I never tot of being nominated, coz as far as I know, all Ive been doing for the past year was complaining, complaining, protesting and more complaining. I wasnt that active in co-curricular xtvts in my final year (compared to my first two years of course) and was one of the leaders for boycotting the student affairs department after their 'little' incident with me =P. Haha.. oh yeah, Ive been bz alrite. Protesting n boycotting. Hahaha.. Anyways, with the notion of being black listed in mind, I didnt even hope for a nomination. Hahahha.. But as u can see, I still was. =P I have to confess that Ive never been to a formal interview before. This would be my first time. So I was seriously nervous. I convinced Mak to teman me to KL. At the last minute, Ayah said die mintak cuti to teman me also. Hehhe.. I love my parents! Muahx muahx. On the way to KL (we balik hari by the way), I was so nervous that my hands were shaking! Literally! Hahahah.. but Ayah calmed me down and we did some last minute preparations along the way. It was a group interview which lasted 1 and a half hours! Adoi.. the group before me only took 40 minutes. Apesal ntah lama sgt. Ayah told me to smile a lot, so I did that till the point my face hurt! Hahhaa.. First they asked us to introduce ourselves, then they asked about our achievements. There was also the the question of what qualities we think a unikl graduate should have. We were asked ideas on how to improve the university in the sense of academic, where we see ourselves in the next 5 years, and of course current issues. I think I missed out a few questions, but I dont really remember everything. it was kinda a blur =P. But I did try my best, thats for sure. I was used to starting first, so when the interviewers said that anyone can start, I jumped to the opportunity. Lagipun the other 3 ppl senyap je. After I finished, the girl beside me decided to have a go. The interviewers talked in English, so I assumed that I should answer in English too. But when the girl beside me started to talk, she was stumbling with her words. So one of the interviewers said that we could all speak in any language we found comfortable. So she spoke in Malay. Same as the other two boys. But when everyone finished the introduction, this is what the interviewers said:
Pergh.. malunyer! Hahhaa.. thank God I spoke English from the start. Fiuh. Hehhehe.. But believe it or not, the other 3 candidates still spoke Malay right to the end. If I were in that situation, I would terus speak in English. Tak kira la merangkak ke tak, at least we should try. Dont u agree? Anyways, I kinda stumbled a bit on the 3rd question. Apesal ntah, my mind went totally blank. Even the lady interviewer said that it seemed like I was more concerned about my English till I forgot my line of thought. Hahhahaha. Well, that was true. But I kinda laughed it out and agreed with her, so the head interviewer said that they'd come back to me. That was the worst moment during the whole interview! Arghh! But I did sampuk back in the end. I was too nervous, so I calmed down first and answered again afterwards. Fiuh. Nasib baik my answer was a good one. Hehhe.. But I didnt like my answer for the current issue question. I stressed out the issue of global warming, etc. But even so, I didnt have many strong points, so personally I think I sounded a bit like a hypocrite. Isk isk.. Since Ive never done such an interview before, I rate my performance as 5, from a scale of 1 to 10. Ayah n Mak senyap je when I said that. When ayah asked me about the questions and how I answered, he said.. "Ish, bagus la tu! Ayah down je bile awk kata 5. Five is average je. Id give you an 8!" Hahhahaha.. Adoi. Id like to think that parents are always bias =P. Still, it gave me hope. But whatever pun, Im okey if I dont get the award. Like mak said, being nominated pun dah cukup bagus, just like the oscars. But id be lying if I said I didnt hope for it. Weight UpdateFor those who have been loyal with my blog (thank you so much for that), would know that Ive been dieting for a few months now. I kinda started when I went to Australia, and have been continuing it ever since. I kinda lost a few pounds from Ozzie, from less eating and the not-really-constant-once-a-week swimming session. I also walked a lot when I was there. Walked to the supermarket, walked to the park, walked all the 3km towards the Safeway in Brunswick, walked whenever pegi jalan2 to the city, or anywhere else for that matter. Walking became kinda a habit. Believe it or not, it was actually fun! But if u telling me to do the same thing here, Id honestly say it wouldnt be very appealing. For one thing, its really really hot here (ceh, alasan!) Hahhaa.. Another reason why it was easier to eat less in Ozzie was bcoz of the short days. By 530, it was already dark like 730 here, so dinner was always taken during that time. Then I wouldnt eat right until the next morning. Best giler kalau puasa time mcm tu. Hehhe.. When I came back home, mak started me on this diet shake thingy, and we've been going swimming 3 times a week. The results are so astonishing! Hehehhehe.. We went to the tailors the other day to tempah my convo clothes, and she said that Ive lost 2 inches off my waist and another 2 inches off my bum! Hahahhahaha.. How unbelievable is that? I was practically glowing the entire day! Wau, its been a blast. I have to confess that I hate jogging. I seriously detest it. So now, as an alternative to going jogging, all I have to do is go swimming for 20 minutes and burn off over 300 calories each time! But we always stay 1 and a half hours each session, so you can imagine how many calories I lose. Hahahha.. My personal trainer at my gym once told me,
Thank God I love swimming =) Anyways, Im hoping to shock my friends the next time I see them. Hehhee.. Id really like to get back to the body I used to have in high school. Hahahaha.. (Dont we all?) Thats my goal, and Im determined to see it met. InsyaAllah. Wish me luck people! *fingers-crossed" Back on Familliar GroundNow that my blog is finally up and running again, let me tell you what Ive been doing for the past 2 weeks. Other than being frustrated bcoz I wasnt able to blog, I can honestly say.. I havent been up to anything productive, I assure you. Hahahhaha..Remember my worry about the excess baggage? Well, Alhamdulillah everything went well. Fiuh *wipe forehead*. We kinda arrived a little late at the airport, so I was around the 3rd last person to check in. Hahhaha.. You can read what happened here at Aliya's blog. The flight back home was the worst flight experience I have ever had. Tak terkata la. Just imagine, first tak dpt tgk movie OR pilih a playlist of songs untuk dgr (I got to do this on the way to OZ, but later I found out, itu by chance je. Hehhee). Anyway, kitorg dpt dgr radio and main game je! JE ok. Second, my seat tak boleh ke belakang. So tido sakit tengkok ALL the way. Third, flight attendent die garang giler. Well, not garang, more of not really polite or mannered. Fourth, since I was seated in the CENTER, they always forgot to give me food.. YaAllah.. then everyone got drinks except me. When I asked for it, there was once, they totally forgot about it! Arghh! Then during the flight, suddenly the in flight screen tu cari pasal. Everyone bengang je. Mau dlm 2 jam blank screen. "We regret the inconvenience.. bla bla bla.." Good thing I had a book and my MP4. Hahahhaha.. Not to mention how rough the flight was. Bergegar je memanjang. Pening kepala tau tak. THEN, bile sampai KLIA, dah benti dah ni, tibe2 the aircraft shut down. Lampu semua tibe2 tertutup. 15 minit jugak la tunggu diorg start balik and bukak pintu tu. Seriously, the service was terrible. So when I came into the terminal, I walked slowly bcoz in my head, my luggage would take some time to come out. So I went to buy some chocolates, and did some window shopping at the international terminal. By the time I was done, the screen showed 1 minute to go until the luggage would start coming out. So I started towards the arrivals. As I waited there like everyone else, suddenly.. There was an announcement..
By that time, dah fed up giler! I noticed other ppl getting angry too. Ye laa. Dari tadi "we are sorry for the inconvenience" Dah muak dgr. Hahhahahahaha.. Teruk giler la. Bile baggage dah keluar, fortunately my bags keluar awal. So it brought up my mood. Hehhehehe.. Ye la, takkan nak keluar arrivals muka masam, btul tak. Hehhe.. I think I was the 2nd person out of there. Lucky me.. emm wait.. Ironicnye. Hehhehehhe. -------------------------------------------------------- When I came out of the arrivals, everyone was there. Mak, Ayah, Ahmad, Aimi n Aida. AND it was stifling! Hahahhaha. I could feel the heat from the very moment I stepped out of the aircraft. But it wasnt that bad. Although the difference of tempreture was 20 degrees, the heat wasnt a sudden shock. My discomfort was mostly the constant red face. Hhahahha. But Im adjusting well, Alhamdulillah =). That night, we all stayed up to watch the movie Nenek asked to convert. Me in particular coz it was still +2 hours difference for me. I was practically nodding in front of the TV. I was afraid I wasnt able to sleep that night, but in the morning, I found out that nenek put the air cond down to 16 degrees! Hahahhaha.. The next day, we all went back home, right after Subuh. Back home to my good old bed *huge-grin*. Hehhe.. AlhamdulillahIm starting this post with Alhamdulillah.Alhamdulillah for having efx2blogs up and running again Alhamdulillah all my posts are still here. Alhamdulillah coz Im finally getting my mood for blogging back. Alhamdulillah (belatedly) for arriving safely in Malaysia. Even though the flight home was awful. I'll tell you all about it in another post *wink. I havent been blogging since the efx2blogs server went down -- but to my understanding, they changed servers, which was the cause of the disruption in connection in the first place -- I didnt have the mood. Since this recent server interference happened exactly on the day I was due back in Malaysia, whatever enthusiasm I had of writing my experience stepping back on familiar land was diminished when I couldnt open my blog. Waaaa.. I kinda tried for the whole week, but to my disappointment and depression, the connection never returned. I gave up hope of ever recovering any of my previous posts. BUT, Alhamdulillah its back on again. I dont know why I suddenly had the urge to click the link today. But I did, and it certainly brightened my day. Even so, I did create a new blog on blogger. This was done BEFORE any of this happened. Papehal pun, Im going to keep a "back-up blog" like Kak Lollies said. That way, it wouldnt be a total lost if such occurrences should happen again. Im back people! =) Last Post from Down UnderI have 2 more hours to go until the time to go check in. Sempat lagi nk tulis blog. Hehehe.. Everything's ready..1. Bags - check 2. Ticket & Passport - in laptop bag - check 3. Iron Clothes to wear on flight - check 4. Put Laptop in bag - not checked yet Obviously Im still using it to write this post. Hehehhe.. I still have to go buy some bakhlava (dont know what it is? Google magic my fren *wink) to bring home. But that'll just go in my hand luggage, so its okey. My luggage is somewhat a little over the weight limit, but Im hoping that they wont be too cerewet about it and let it thru. Please please please ya Allah.. Make this journey a smooth one. Permudahkanlah urusanku yaAllah. I wasnt able to sleep thinking about this last nite. I oredi brought out a few stuff I didnt really need, but it still a bit heavy. Oh God Im worried. So this is going to be my last post from Australia. The next post will be from home. Oh mann.. I cant believe Im going back oredi. Isk isk.. Im gonna miss Aliya and the little guy.
Im hoping this little guy will miss me too. Waaaaaaa..... =( Ill be arriving at KLIA around 9.15pm (Malaysian time). Please pray I have a safe journey home. Till Im back in Malaysia, over and out. Major SightseeingThe last few weeks have just been a blur. Rasa macam lajuuu je masa berjalan. Its like the time is trying to beat me in a race to the finish line. Hehe.. I cant even believe that Im going back home to Malaysia tmrw. Its been 3 months oredi?? Argh..Anyways, I havent been updating ma blog with the activities Ive been doing for the past weeks. Ntahla, I dont know why. Hehe.. I dont have a concrete reason behind it. So I might as well put it all into one post. A few weeks back, my brother in-law's cousin (Kak Na) invited us to a bbq at the house she was staying. The weather was really cold. Just imagine having a bbq in the middle of an Australian winter. Although it was sunny, the wind was.. what should it say.. emm.. freezing!! Hahaha.. you can feel the cold right to ur bones everytime a breeze comes along. Grrr.. It was a small affair, with just two families. The food was oh oh so yummy. Especially the lamb chops. Yum yum. Just writing about it is starting to make me hungry (maybe coz I havent had bfast yet.. hehe..). I had lots of fun getting the grill ready. The firewood were all wet from all the rain the previous night, so we had to improvise. Last2, Kak Sal went to buy some wax from the store jugak. Hehehe.. I had a great time playing with the kids too. Got myself a new boyfren named Zack (short for Zakaria). He's so cute, with huge round eyes and a gentle manner. ---------------------------------------------- Last weekend, Kak Fida (Aliya's fren) invited us over to her house for lunch in Dandenong. She cooked Mee Bandung. Sedap gile. Hehehe.. Kak Fida, nk mintak ur recipe la. Boleh try kat rumah. Ayah loves mee bandung. She also brought us to Dandenong Ranges. It was so beautiful.. all the tall green trees. I would have had a picture fit if I had an DSLR with me. At first, she wanted to bring us to ride the Puffing Billy, but we missed the last train by 10 minutes. Hehhe.. never mind.. maybe next time. So we ventured out across the ranges -- with the car of course -- and arrived at a picnic ground. To our surprise.. there were wild cockatoos! It was so cool feeding them. But as you'll notice, I wore my gloves. Hahahha.. No way would I use my plain hand. You can never predict what an animal can do. AND I was right. One of the birds bit me. Thank goodness for the gloves. Hehehhehe -------------------------------------------------------- YESTERDAY was quite a day. I spent the whole day outside. We all went to Monash, my bro-in-laws university. Waahh.. it was so cool seeing the campus first hand. I especially LOVED the library. Apesal la library kat Malaysia so dull. Personally, I think its becoz Malaysians are so lazy at reading. The art building was so huge! At first glance, it kinda looked like Bangunan Wisma Persekutuan. Haha.. but when u get closer, you start admiring the massiveness. What I just couldnt believe, was the Students Centre. Waaaahhh.. kagum giler. It was like a small shopping mall, with shops, cafes, foodcourts and everything! Even a cinema! Waau. I was so jealous. You'd never see anything like this back home. What a pity. Afterwards, we had lunch at Clayton (yummy lamb masala with roti nan), and prayed at a house-turned-into-mosque near the campus. Banyak btul pahala org yang bagi rumah ni. On the way back, we stopped by St. Albert's Park to let Layth run around, after being strapped to his car seat all day. It was almost dusk, and it was FREEZING! Hahahhaha.. but the scenery was awsome. Just as we arrived home, Aliya told me that her frens wanted to bring me out to the city in 45 minutes time. Hahahhaa.. Whaat..? No rest? Hehe.. but i didnt mind. Bile lagi kan. Ive never been to the city at night, so it was really beautiful. Kak Wahyuna and Kak Su bought me dinner (thank you! *huge grin*) and then brought me to the Crown Plaza to watch the fire show along the South Bank. It was spectacular. Ive never seen a fire show before, so it was stunning. You can practically feel the heat of the fire even from a few hundred yards. The first time one of the big fires came out, terkejut tau. Melatah kejap. Hehehhe.. Then they brought me along the river to see the waters edge and take pictures. Hehehe.. Best2.. thanks Kak Wahyuna n Kak Su. I had a blast. Fiuh.. penat2. I wonder where we'll b going tmrw..? Hehe.. { Last Page } { Page 1 of 5 } { Next Page } | |||
